If you want both, plan them as two distinct legs and treat the connection as a proper flight. For most people it’s cleaner to make Tanzania the focus — the parks, perhaps Kilimanjaro, then Zanzibar — and save the falls for a Southern Africa trip. Time a northern-Serengeti crossing (July–October) and the falls will be at a workable water level for the activities.
