Why this exists
Most travel sites optimise for clicks. The result: every "best of" list looks the same, every destination sounds amazing, and you walk away with no actual idea where to go.
Where Best is the opposite. The picks are opinionated. Each destination has a real "best time" calendar — peak, fine, avoid — instead of "year-round paradise" handwaving. The quiz drops you on a place that fits how you actually travel, not what's trending on Instagram.
How destinations are scored
Every country has structured fields: activity weights (beach, mountain, food, culture, etc.), budget range, climate, recommended trip length, infrastructure, language difficulty, monthly best-time scores. The quiz translates your answers into the same dimensions and finds the best match.
The "Best in [month]" lists on the home page and per-month pages are computed from those same monthly scores plus an editorial popularity rating. The "Trending" picks are hand-curated for genuine up-and-coming windows — the goal is to surface places that aren't already on every list.
Where the data falls short
At launch, country pages are short on prose. Visa rules and prices change — always verify before booking. The list is 34 destinations and growing; submit a missing place via the feedback link below.
No accounts, no tracking, no sales
The site is free and ad-free. No newsletter, no upsell. Analytics are anonymous and the quiz state lives in your browser. Read the privacy page →
