What this site collects, and why

Where Best is a destination discovery site. It does not require an account, email, or payment. Here's what runs under the hood.

What is collected

• Anonymous analytics (Vercel). Aggregate page views. No cookies, no IP storage, no fingerprinting. Runs for everyone.
• Google Analytics (optional). Loaded only if you accept the cookie banner. Tracks page views, anonymised IP, and browser metadata. You can decline at any time.
• Error reports (Sentry). If something crashes, a stack trace is sent for debugging. No personal data.

What stays on your device

• Your quiz answers (if you've taken the quiz), saved to your browser's local storage so a reload doesn't lose your place.
• Your consent choice (accept / decline), so the banner stops bothering you.

Nothing in local storage is sent to any server. To clear it, use your browser's "Clear site data" setting.

Shared results

When you use the Share button on quiz results, the URL encodes your answers directly — no server stores them. Anyone with the link sees the same matches; no one else can.

What is not collected

• No accounts or emails
• No payment information
• No cross-site tracking
• No selling or sharing beyond the services named above
